Empowering Change Through Reflective Dialogue
Through vulnerability and truth-telling, Landing Places creates the conditions for transformative dialogue. We explore what happens when our conversations are rooted in the realities of where we are and how we got here. We believe that storytelling is at the core of our most important work.
TO LAND
To come down through the air and alight on the ground.
All professional communities and community members need collective places to explore the deeper questions about who we are and how we show up. In a world that insists that we keep moving and doing, it’s incredibly hard to find places to land. Yet, if we don’t land, we miss those deeper questions calling to us. How might our communities shift if we imagined, developed, and then attended to habits of slowing down? To land and reflect on who we are, where we are, and how we’re showing up requires courage to do something different when everything and everyone around us is telling us to just keep flying.
To grow and transform, we must land.

ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Liza! Only when I left the classroom to pursue an educational doctorate did I find the spaces and structures I needed to explore the complex questions I had about teaching and schools. I created Landing Places to support those in schools and other institutions with opportunities to land and explore the questions that call to them, the questions that deserve and need our focused, curious, and most openhearted attention.
